Author Guidelines
The International Journal for Development of Science and Technology (IJDST) welcomes original, high-quality research contributions within the scope of the journal. Authors are requested to follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth and efficient editorial and peer-review process.
1. Originality and Submission
Manuscripts submitted to IJDST must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration by another journal. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and originality of their submissions.
2. Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be prepared using the prescribed IJDST format. The manuscript should include an appropriate title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author details, abstract, keywords, main text, references, and applicable declarations.
3. Manuscript Structure
Research articles should generally include:
Abstract → Keywords → Introduction → Materials and Methods → Results → Discussion → Conclusion → Conflict of Interest Statement → Ethical Approval Statement → Funding Statement → Data Availability Statement → Acknowledgement → References.
4. Formatting Requirements
The manuscript should follow the journal's prescribed font, size, spacing, heading, table, and figure formats. The current IJDST template specifies Cambria for most manuscript elements, with body text generally at 10 pt and 1.15 line spacing.
5. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should clearly present the purpose, methodology, major findings, and conclusion of the research. Appropriate keywords should be provided to improve the discoverability of the article. The IJDST format specifies 11 pt for the Abstract and Keywords headings, 10 pt for abstract content, and italic formatting for keyword content.
6. Tables and Figures
Tables and figures should be clearly numbered, appropriately titled, and referred to within the manuscript. Authors must ensure that all tables, figures, images, and other visual materials are original or used with appropriate permission and attribution. The IJDST format specifies 9 pt bold formatting for table and figure titles.
7. Ethical and Research Declarations
Where applicable, authors should provide statements relating to conflict of interest, ethical approval, funding, data availability, and acknowledgements. These statements form part of the prescribed IJDST manuscript structure.
8. References
All sources cited in the manuscript should be included in the reference list, and every reference should correspond to an appropriate citation in the text. References should be presented consistently according to the journal's required citation and formatting style. The IJDST template specifies References as a main heading in 12 pt bold, with reference content in 10 pt.
9. Submission and Review
Submitted manuscripts are subject to an initial editorial assessment and the journal's double-blind peer-review process. Authors should carefully check their manuscript before submission and respond appropriately to editorial or reviewer comments when revisions are requested.
10. Publication Ethics
Authors are expected to comply with IJDST's Publication Ethics, Plagiarism, Peer Review, Copyright & Licensing, and Withdrawal & Retraction Policies. Any suspected academic or publication misconduct will be handled according to the relevant journal policy.
11. Copyright and Licensing
Authors should review the journal's Copyright & Licensing Policy before submission. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted third-party material included in their manuscript.
