Refund and Cancellation Policy

The International Journal for Development of Science & Technology (IJDST) is committed to maintaining a transparent and fair publication process. Authors are requested to carefully review the applicable publication charges and the terms of this policy before making any payment.

1. Refund before Editorial or Peer Review

If a manuscript is withdrawn by the journal before it enters the editorial or peer-review process, any publication fee already paid may be eligible for a refund, subject to applicable payment-processing charges.

2. Refund in Case of Rejection

  • If a manuscript is not accepted for publication following the journal's editorial or peer-review process, the applicable publication fee may be refunded where the fee was collected in advance and the payment is covered by this policy.
  • No refund shall be applicable where the payment relates to services or charges already incurred by the journal.

3. Non-Refundable Payments after Acceptance

  • Once a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication, the applicable Article Processing Charge (APC) becomes payable and is generally non-refundable.
  • The corresponding or submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the APC and any applicable additional charges are paid correctly and on time.

4. Author-Initiated Withdrawal

APCs and publication-related charges will generally not be refunded when an author voluntarily withdraws an accepted manuscript, declines to proceed with publication, fails to provide required revisions or documents, or otherwise terminates the publication process after acceptance.

5. Excess, Duplicate, or Accidental Payments

  • In the event of an accidental duplicate payment, excess payment, or payment made in error, the author may submit a refund request to the IJDST Editorial Office.
  • Refund requests should be submitted as soon as possible and, where applicable, before the manuscript proceeds to publication. Any refund approved by IJDST may be subject to payment gateway, bank, currency-conversion, or other transaction charges.

6. Published Articles

  • Once an article has been published, publication charges are generally non-refundable. Subsequent corrections, amendments, withdrawal, retraction, or removal of an article do not automatically create an entitlement to a refund.
  • Where an article is retracted or removed because of author misconduct, plagiarism, copyright infringement, ethical violations, or other circumstances attributable to the author(s), no refund of publication charges will be provided.

7. Refund Due to Journal Error

In exceptional circumstances where IJDST is unable to publish an accepted article due to an error attributable to the journal, the Editorial Office may review the matter and determine whether a full or partial refund is appropriate.

8. Policy Updates

  • IJDST reserves the right to amend or update this Refund and Cancellation Policy when necessary. Any revised policy will be published on the official IJDST website with the applicable revision or updated date.
  • Authors are encouraged to review the policy before making publication-related payments.

9. Acceptance of the Policy

By submitting a manuscript and/or making a publication-related payment to IJDST, the author acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Refund and Cancellation Policy.
